The Fife Flyers today confirmed a series of changes to the club’s off-ice leadership as the organisation continues to reshape its operations ahead of the new EIHL campaign.
Stephen Thompson has left the organisation. Over recent weeks the club has listened closely to its supporters and taken account of the growing conversation around how the Flyers are run both on and off the ice. After careful consideration, the ownership group made the decision to part ways with Stephen and move the business in a new direction. The club thanks him for his time and wishes him well.
John Brown will steer the ship from here. He takes on day to day leadership of the club’s operations with immediate effect, working alongside Head Coach and General Manager Tim Wallace, assistant Head Coach Garet Hunt and the current ownership group. Together they will drive the club’s commercial, hockey and community priorities forward as preparations build towards what is shaping up to be an exciting season.
“Our supporters are the heartbeat of this club, and we have heard them loud and clear,” said a spokesperson for the ownership group. “This is about making sure the Flyers are set up the right way for the long term. John knows this club, he knows this league, and he has the drive to take us where we want to go. We are confident this is the right team to lead us into next season.”
The club also confirmed that Lachlan Harrison has joined the Fife Flyers, taking on responsibilities across ticketing and media. The appointment reflects continued investment in the club’s infrastructure and a commitment to improving the matchday and supporter experience.
“Lachlan brings real energy and fresh ideas, and he is going to make a difference in how we connect with our fans and our community,” the spokesperson added. “We are delighted to welcome him aboard.”
The Fife Flyers will share further updates on roster, staffing and the season ahead in the coming weeks.
