Fife Flyers sign Canadian forward Cole Stewart

The Fife Flyers are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Cole Stewart ahead of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season.

The 25-year-old centre joins the Flyers following five seasons in USports, most recently with the St. Francis Xavier University, where he recorded eight points (2G, 6A) in 15 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.

A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Stewart was selected by the Halifax Mooseheads in the third round of the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft and went on to make 93 appearances in the league, recording 15 points (5G, 10A) across spells with Halifax, the Acadie-Bathurst Titans and Chicoutimi Saguenéens.

Following his junior career, Stewart made the move into university hockey, joining Nipissing University in 2021/22. He spent three seasons with the Lakers before moving to St. Francis Xavier for the final two years of his USports career.

Speaking on the addition, Head Coach Tim Wallace said “Cole is a versatile, strong-skating player who can contribute in a number of positions and situations. He isn’t afraid to play a physical game, and his flexibility will give us valuable options throughout the lineup.”

“I’ve had some great conversations with Cole and have heard nothing but positive things about his character. I’m confident he’ll be a great teammate and a strong addition to our group.”

Stewart becomes the latest addition to the Flyers roster as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season and arrived in Fife this morning!

Welcome to Fife, Cole! 💛💙
