Fife Flyers netminder Christian Purboo says he admires the way the team continue to battle on despite the run of poor results.
It’s been a tough run as Jamie Russell’s men continue through a lengthy slump, but Purboo insists the group remains strong.
The 25-year-old Canadian admits he’s expecting the same attitude when the team finally get that victory to end the run.
“The dynamic’s still great in the room,” he said. “Everyone knows the situation we’re in with injuries, from a fan’s perspective, they can see the work being put in.
“Unfortunately I think what’s been killing us is the team tiring late on because we’re so short benched.
“But I love how we’re battling through it, putting that to the side and moving on to the next game. I admire how the guys can do that.
“I hope when we do get fully healthy, we continue with that attitude and focus.

“To get a win would be a nice refresh for us as a group. At the same time, we’d like to get on a streak too, but first thing’s first.
“When we do win, we’ll have to enjoy it, put it away and move straight on to the next game then go from there.”
Purboo also took the time to reflect on his time in Scotland so far as he begins his pro career after arriving in the summer.
And he spoke of his relationship with netminding colleague Shane Owen as they work together, but also vie for minutes between the pipes.
He added: “I’ve been loving it over here, despite the results, but I love how the fans continue to show their support and I’m really enjoying the atmosphere.
“Jamie’s been great with me in giving me opportunities to play as a first year pro, plus Shane Owen has been a really good role model in telling me what to expect from other teams and in other arenas. All those little things I have to know are really helpful for me.
“One of the main reasons I came here was to get an opportunity, but Shane is a great goalie. Even though I don’t play every game, we have a dynamic between us where we support each other and swap opinions as well as talk about how we can do things better.”
