On Saturday night……

Fife Flyers 2        Glasgow Clan 5                                             –   Elite League    

The Clan recorded their 3rd consecutive win on Flyers ice which equals their best sequence at Fife Ice Arena since the 2018-19 season.

The Flyers have had 6 different scorers against the Clan this season each with a single goal.

It was the 5th consecutive game when afforded powerplay time that the Flyers failed to score with the man advantage which ties the longest sequence this season.

 

On Sunday night……

Cardiff Devils 5                    Fife Flyers 0                             –   Elite League    

The Devils made it 8 consecutive wins against the Flyers which is their best ever sequence against Fife in all EIHL competitions.

The Flyers run of 18 consecutive defeats is a new all-time club record surpassing the 1947-48 team who went 17 games without a win.

The Flyers are now winless in 14 league games to start the season and that ties with the 2011/12 season as the worst start all-time to a league campaign.

The Flyers have been shut out in back to back visits to the Vindico arena for the second time in the EIHL era by the Devils.

It was the 12th time in all EIHL competitions that the Devils have blanked the Flyers.

19 Devils shots in the third equalled the most give up by the Flyers in a period this season.

The Flyers have not been ahead in any of their last 6 matches which is their longest such sequence this season

Ian Scheid leads the team in shots on goal with 71.

It was the 6th consecutive game when afforded powerplay time that the Flyers failed to score with the man advantage which is their longest 0 for drought this season.
