Everyone at the Fife Flyers is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former director Jack Wishart at the age of 82.
Jack dedicated almost three decades of his life to the Fife Flyers after becoming part of the club’s ownership group in 1996. Throughout that time, he helped guide the club through both its greatest triumphs and its most challenging moments, always with unwavering commitment and belief in the future of hockey in Fife.
He was part of the leadership group that oversaw one of the most successful periods in the club’s modern history, including the Grand Slam-winning era under Mark Morrison, helping to create memories that will live long in the hearts of Flyers supporters.
When Jack and his fellow owners passed the club into new hands in 2025 after 28 years, his connection with the Flyers did not end there. He remained a familiar face at Fife Ice Arena, supporting the club from the stands once again as a dedicated fan.
Beyond the rink, Jack was a highly respected businessman and devoted family man, but to so many within the Flyers family, he will forever be remembered as someone who cared deeply about this club and everyone connected to it.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Jack’s family, friends and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
This season, we will honour Jack by embedding his name beneath the ice at Fife Ice Arena, ensuring his legacy will forever remain part of the home he helped shape and the club he cared for so deeply.
Thank you for everything, Jack.
