On Saturday night……

Fife Flyers 4 Cardiff Devils 5 – Elite League

Congratulations to Jordan Stallard on his debut goal.

He became the 19th player to make his Flyers debut this season and the 36^th Flyers player in the EIHL era to score in his first game.

Other debutant scorers against the Devils have been Derek Roehl and Tim Hartung.

Congratulations also to Massimo Carozza who got his first goal/points for the Flyers.

The Flyers were ahead in this game for 38:33 which is their longest time with a lead in a game this season – the previous best being 32.56.

The Flyers have lost the second period 15 times this season and have gone on to lose the game on each occasion.

Phélix Martineau is the first Flyers player to record 100 plus shots on goal for the season.

Gleason Fournier scored the Devils first power play goal by a defenceman this season. The Nottingham Panthers remain the only team who have yet to have a goal of any type from a defenceman.

The Flyers are the first team to concede 1000 shots this season.

On Sunday night……

Coventry Blaze 9 Fife Flyers 2 – Elite League

Congratulations to Noah Delmas who scored his first Flyers goal.

The game winning goal after 18 seconds meant that it was the longest period of time that the Flyers have been behind in a game this season.

Flyers conceded 4 power play goals which is the most this season and most since giving up the same number in a 7-6 OT win against the Dundee Stars on 18^th Feb 2018. It’s the 5^th time that Flyers have given up that number in the EIHL era. 5 goals is the most in a game during that time against Hull in a 3-7 loss on 12^th March 2014.

Including shootout goals the Flyers have now conceded 200 goals against the Blaze in all EIHL competitions.

The Flyers have now given up 2800 goals in all EIHL competitions (3.6 goals per game) and have scored an average of 2.9 goals per game during that time.

Nick Seitz with a hat trick became the 6th Blaze player to do so against the Flyers in all EIHL competitions.

It is the second time that the Blaze have scored 9 against the Flyers which is their highest total in EIHL games against the Flyers with 9-0 being their biggest win in season 2011/12.
