Weekend Recap – Week 5

On Saturday night……

Fife Flyers 3  Manchester Storm 2  –  Elite League 

Flyers 50 shots on the Storm goal was their highest game total so far this season. Highest since putting 51 shots on the Storm on 23rd February 2024.

25 shots in the first was also the Flyers highest in a period this season.

Phélix Martineau and Lucas Chiodo both had 8 shots in the game which is a new high for shots by a Flyers player in a game this season.

Lucas Chiodo extended his points streak to five games which is a team high on the season.

Phélix Martineau played 25:35 which is a new team high for a player this season.

It was the first time this season that the Flyers have scored the opening goal in a match.

Also the first time this season that the Flyers have never been behind in a match.

It was the Flyers 300th win in all EIHL competitions.

Congratulations to Martin  Látal who made his debut – the 14th player to take a bow this season.

On Sunday night……

Nottingham Panthers 5  Fife Flyers 1 – Elite League 

Flyers 4 shots in the first was their lowest total for a period this season.

The game also saw the Flyers equal their lowest shots total for a game both for and against this season.

Lucas Chiodo stretched his team high, for the season, scoring streak to 6 games.

Madi Dikhanbek played a team season high time on ice of 27:25.

The Panthers were the only team Lucas Chiodo had yet to score against.

Noah Delmas is now the only blueliner to be ever present – he is one of 8 players yet to miss a game.

The Panthers remain with the second fewest goals per game given up so far this season in  all EIHL competitions.
