Weekend Recap – Week 4

On Saturday night……

Fife Flyers 4  Dundee Stars 1  – Challenge Cup 

Flyers 40 shots on Stars goal was their highest game total so far this season.

Drake Pilon and Johnny Curran both had 6 shots in the game which is a new high for shots by a Flyers player in a game this season.

The Flyers three goals in the second is their highest in a period so far this season.

Drake Pilon extended his points streak to four games which is a team high on the season.

The Flyers stopped their losing streak at five games and also denied the Dundee Stars a 4th consecutive win at Fife Ice Arena which would have been a new best for Stars in the Elite League era.

On Sunday night……

Guildford Flames 4  Fife Flyers 1 – Elite League 

The Flyers only have one win in their last 9 visits to the Guildford Spectrum. They have been outscored 34-15 during that run.

The Flyers gave up only 8 shots in the opening period which is their lowest total for a period so far this season.

Drake Pilon’s points streak ended at 4 games but Lucas Chiodo made it 4 consecutive games with a point as the two share the team high for the season.

Patrick Kyte played a season high 24 minutes for a Flyers defenceman this season.

The Flyers have now conceded the opening goal of the game in all 8 competitive matches this season.

Michael Cichy leads the team in goals to shots percentage at 18.8%

It was the first minus game for Patrick Kyte who leads all blueliners with a +3

Johnny Curran is also +3 and leads all forwards.
