Coolen Era Continues

Fife Flyers Ice Hockey club are delighted to announce that Head Coach Tom Coolen has put pen to paper for the 24/25 season.

At the start of 23/24 season, the arrival of Coach Coolen and a new look Flyers team injected a buzz around the stands, where early form saw the Club qualify for the Challenge Cup Quarterfinals.

In an Elite League campaign that saw 5 teams separated by just 3 points, Coach Coolen steered his team to a top 8 finish. The Club’s highest finish since 2019, which secured a place in the Playoff Quarter Finals.

When asked about his return, Coach Coolen said ‘I’m excited to come back to Fife. We have great fans and we accomplished something this year and I’d like to continue to build on that. I’ve had a year to look at the league and work out what works best for us. I’ve got to go to work and try to find the best fit I can to compete. We’re going to lose players and gain players and have some guys coming back. I’m going to spend the next four months putting together a team we hope to do damage with.’
