Max Coyle is a Canadian defenceman who joined the Fife Flyers ahead of the 2026/27 Elite Ice Hockey League season.
The 28-year-old, a native of Tillsonburg, Ontario, brings professional experience from North America and Europe, combining a reliable defensive game with physicality, strong skating and puck-moving ability.
Coyle developed through the junior ranks before helping the Prince George Spruce Kings win the 2019 BCHL Championship. He then progressed to NCAA hockey, spending his freshman season at the University of Alabama Huntsville before transferring to Bowling Green State University.
During four seasons with Bowling Green, Coyle established himself as a dependable presence on the Falcons' blue line, earning the role of assistant captain in his senior campaign. He was also named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team twice.
Following his NCAA career, Coyle turned professional in the ECHL, representing the Indy Fuel and Greenville Swamp Rabbits before moving to Europe to play for Danish side Aalborg Pirates.
Coyle brings valuable experience and leadership to the Flyers' defensive unit as he continues his professional career in Fife.
