Fife Flyers Two-way Player Additions

Rhys Edwards

18 year old Rhys was born in Blackburn and has played both as a forward and defenceman. He played his youth hockey with the Bradford Bulldogs from U15 to U18 before he stepped up to NIHL 1 with the Widnes Wild in the 2022/23 season where he was second in team points. Last season he stepped up again playing mainly in the NIHL with the Hull Seahawks as well as with the Wild and made his International debut for GB at U18 level. This season he has split his time between the NIHL1 Hull Jets as well as the Seahawks.

 

Owen Dell

22 year old Owen was born in Maidstone and is a product of the Invicta youth development programme. He lead the U18 Colts team in scoring over two seasons before stepping up to the NIHL 1 Dynamos in 2018-19. He scored 48 points in 57 points at the National 1 level over two seasons before spending the next two years in the USPHL Premier League in America with the Hershey Cubs. During that time he broke into the GB U20 set up. Last season he returned to play for Invicta in NIHL1 as well as stepping up for Raiders HC in the NIHL. Owen joined the Leeds Knights to start this season.

 

Josh Saunders

Defenceman Josh was born in Edinburgh but played his junior development in Kirkcaldy coming through the Flames and Falcons before making the Kestrels in the 2021/22 season. Over the last three seasons the 18 year old has played over 50 SNL games and last season made his International debut for GB at U18 level. Continuing with the Kestrels this season he also signed a two way contract with the Dundee Stars and made his EIHL debut against the Glasgow Clan on 8th September.
