Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Brown on a two-way deal with the Dundee Rockets.
20 year old Dundonian Ben can play either forward or defence and is a product of the Dundee Stars junior development. His time in the Tayside junior development organisation saw him successful in winning a number of competitions. He then moved onto the Dundee Comets when they won the SNL playoffs and Scottish Cup. He stepped up to the EIHL with the Dundee Stars in season 2021/22 making his debut against the Flyers and he made 57 appearances over the next two seasons.
Ben has spent the last two seasons in the NIHL playing for Milton Keynes Lightning who last season won the NIHL Cup and where Ben picked up 30 points in his 66 games before returning North of the border recently to sign for the Dundee Rockets in their inaugural SNL season.
Internationally he has achieved a bronze medal while playing for GB under 18s & 20s and last season was the top scoring defenceman at WJC (D2A).
Commenting on the addition of Ben Brown, Head Coach Tom Coolen commented, ‘Ben has good size and is a solid skater. He gives us additional depth and I am very pleased with his signing.’
