Fan Favourite Pilon Returns to Fife

Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Drake Pilon for the 2024/25 season.

Drake returns for a second term after arriving in Fife midway through last season. This will be his second full year playing professional hockey after joining the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL after completing his studies at the University of Prince Edward Island at the end of the 22/23 season. Drake made his Flyers debut on Hogmanay in a 7-4 home win against the Glasgow Clan and quickly endeared himself to the Flyers fans. His first goal came in mid-January against the Guildford Flames and he played in all but one of the remaining games in 2024 recording 4 goals and 4 assists.

On his return, Drake said “I’m excited for this upcoming season, I feel like after I came over last year and got my feet wet in this league I am going to have extra confidence as I know what to expect. There’s a ton of excitement with all of the new signings and new faces that Tom has been able to put together that will carry into camp and hopefully towards a successful season.”

Coach Tom Coolen added “I’m really happy to have Drake back this season. He’s a hard working player who plays with intensity and can play multiple positions. He gives everything and has a big heart. Drake’s a guy who’s not afraid to stick up for his teammates and we look forward to welcoming him back to the Fife Flyers Family.”
