The Fife Flyers have further added to their offensive line with the signing of American forward Casey Gilling.
25-year old Gilling will play his first season in the EIHL this year, following a season with Danish team, Esbjerg Energy of the Superisligaen. Prior to playing European hockey, Gilling iced for the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Miami University of Ohio Redhawks.
Casey Gilling on his signing with Fife Flyers said “I see myself as a reliable two way center with good offensive ability. I am very excited to be joining such a great organisation and I cannot wait to see what we are able to accomplish as a team this year.”
Commenting on the signing, Head Coach Tom Coolen added, “Casey is a solid two-way former NCAA center who played big minutes for WCHA Champions Minnesota Duluth.” “Last year was his first year of professional hockey in Denmark. I expect him to contribute both offensively and defensively to the Fife Flyers.”
