Ben Solder is an English defenceman who joined the Fife Flyers ahead of the 2026/27 Elite Ice Hockey League season.
The 25-year-old, born in Chelmsford, developed his game in England before continuing his junior hockey career overseas with the Ontario Hockey Academy in Canada.
Solder made his Elite League debut with the Manchester Storm during the 2020/21 season, gaining valuable experience competing at the highest level of British hockey. He subsequently joined the Bristol Pitbulls in the NIHL, where he served as an alternate captain and recorded 29 points (7G, 22A) in 51 games.
Most recently, Solder represented the Guildford Flames, adding further Elite League experience before making the move to Fife.
Known for his competitive approach, strong skating, physicality and ability to contribute at both ends of the ice, Solder brings versatility and experience to the Flyers' defensive unit as he looks to establish himself as a reliable two-way defenceman.
