The Fife Flyers are delighted to confirm our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2026/27 Elite Ice Hockey League campaign, with four exciting fixtures set to prepare Tim Wallace’s side for the new season.

The Flyers will begin their pre-season schedule on Friday 28th August when they welcome Ukrainian side Kyiv Capitals to Fife Ice Arena for a 7:30pm face-off, before hosting the Hull Seahawks the following evening on Saturday 29th August (7:00pm face-off).

Following our opening weekend fixtures, supporters will have the opportunity to see the future of Fife hockey on Saturday 5th September as the Flyers and Kirkcaldy Kestrels come together for a special exhibition game at 7:00pm.

The pre-season schedule concludes on Sunday 6th September when local rivals Dundee Stars make their first trip across the Tay, with a face-off at 4:00pm.

Speaking on the exhibition game with the Kirkcaldy Kestrels, Head Coach Tim Wallace said:

“The Kestrels vs Flyers event will be a great opportunity to showcase the young talent coming out of Fife and the surrounding areas. I want to build a strong relationship with Steve and everyone involved with the Kestrels, while helping create a clear pathway for local players to one day work toward playing for the Flyers.”

“Fife has a great junior system, and we want young players in this area to see that playing for the Flyers is possible if they put the work in and continue developing the right way. We’ll be mixing the teams so Flyers and Kestrels players can compete alongside one another in a fun, competitive environment.”

“It also gives our players a chance to work on game situations and systems, while giving the fans a close look at the speed, skill, and character we’ve brought to Fife this season.”
