Glasgow Clan 3 Fife Flyers 1 – Challenge Cup
The Clan stretched their winning record on home ice against the Flyers to 6 games.
The Flyers iced 15 debutants – the most that the Flyers have ever iced in a game beating the previous most of 14 who iced to start the 2023/24 season.
Congratulations to Justin Ducharme for his first Flyers goal, he was the 37th player to score om his debut in the EIHL era.
The Flyers on the road on opening nights in the EIHL are now 1 and 3 – with the previous two loses being shutouts.
Flyers have now opened their EIHL campaigns most often against Glasgow with 6 meetings and now have a 3 and 3 record against their West Coast rivals who have outscored them 22-18.
Shane Owen played his 350th competitive game for the Flyers.

Fife Flyers 1 Belfast Giants 4 – Challenge Cup
The Belfast Giants extended their streak to 7 straight wins against the Flyers in all competitions.
The Giants have also won on each of their last 6 visits to Kirkcaldy.
Congratulations to Christian Purboo on his competitive Flyers debut which made him the 200th player to debut for the club in the EIHL era.
Jonas Emmerdahl played his 250th competitive game for the Flyers.
Congratulations to Ian Scheid for his first goal in Flyers colours.
The 9 shots on goal total equalled the Flyers lowest all time in the EIHL – the previous game being on the road against the Nottingham Panthers in March 2018
The Flyers were perfect on the penalty kill over the weekend going 9 for 9 although were 0 for 4 on the power play.
