The Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are pleased to announce the signing of forward Rowan Mills for the 2025/26 season.
Another product of the Kirkcaldy Ice Hockey Club (KIHC) junior system, Rowan started the 2024/25 season with National Ice Hockey League 1(NIHL1) side Billingham Stars before returning north of the border signing a two-way deal between the Aberdeen Lynx of the Scottish National League (SNL) and our Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) rivals, Dundee Stars.
As well as having played in the KIHC junior system, Rowan has also turned out for Dundee Stars U19 and Billingham Stars U18.
Described as lightning quick with an eye for net, Rowan spent the majority of the 2023/24 season icing for the Billingham Buccaneers in the National Ice Hockey League 2 (NIHL 2).
In 30 regular season games for the Buccaneers, Rowan tallied 24 points (9 goals + 15 assists). He then went on to record 4 points (2 goals + 2 assists) in 4 post season games helping his team lift the NIHL 2 (North) Playoff Championship.
Rowan repeated this success last season with the Aberdeen Lynx, registering 4 points (1 goal + 3 assists) in 5 playoff games to help his team win the SNL Playoff Championship.
On adding Rowan, Flyers President and GM Max Birbraer said “We’re delighted to give another local guy the opportunity to develop, prove himself and potentially play his way into the line up.
“Rowan has spent time previously with Fife and Dundee and has made steps in the right direction.”
On signing in the Kindom, Rowan said “I’m super excited to be joining Fife this year.
“I can’t wait to see you soon!”
Rowan is the 22nd player to join the 2025/26 roster and will wear #25.
