The Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce the return of netminder Cameron Kenny for the 2025/26 season.
A product of Kirkcaldy Ice Hockey Club (KIHC) junior system, Cameron first made a brief appearance on the Flyers roster aged just 16 during the 2023/24 season.
He then stepped up to join the Flyers early in the 2024/25 season, backing up Shane Owen and Jānis Voris. Cameron went on to make his Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) playing debut for the club versus the Dundee Stars on the 6th April 2025.
Throughout the 2024/25 season Cameron was also part of the Fife Falcons team who picked up the U19 League Championship and Scottish Cup double.
With agreement from Kirkcaldy Kestrels, Cameron will return to the Flyers lineup this season on a full time basis complementing our non-homegrown netminding tandem of Shane Owen and Christian Purboo.
On signing Cameron, Fife Flyers President and GM Max Birbraer said “Kenny iced with Fife last season and thoroughly impressed when he got put into a game against Dundee, only conceding 1 goal.”
“With the opportunity to develop under Head Coach, Jamie Russell, we’re excited to see his future in a Flyers jersey blossom.”
On returning to the Kingdom for the upcoming season, Cameron said “I’m really excited to be back with the Flyers this season.
“I can’t wait to meet the guys and hit the ice.”
Cameron is the 21st player to join us in the Kingdom for the season ahead and will once again wear #30.
