The Fife Flyers are delighted to announce the signing of American forward Evan Dougherty for the 2026/27 season.
The 27-year-old centre arrives in Fife after beginning his professional career in the ECHL, where he suited up for both the Atlanta Gladiators and Kalamazoo Wings. During his most recent season with the Wings, he put up 14 points across 54 games.
Prior to turning professional, Dougherty spent five seasons with Bowling Green State University in the NCAA, where his leadership qualities were recognised when he served as an alternate captain during his final two seasons with the programme.
Flyers Head Coach Tim Wallace believes Dougherty’s attributes will make him a valuable addition to the roster, adding “Evan is a smart, responsible centre who can play in all situations. He is strong on draws, skates well, and has the hockey sense to be trusted in important moments.”
“We also believe there is more offensive upside in his game, and Fife is a great place for that to come through. He is a great teammate, he was eager to be part of what we are building here, and we believe he will be an important piece of our hockey club.”
Everyone at the Fife Flyers would like to welcome Evan to the club and wish him every success in the blue and gold for the 2026/27 campaign.
