The response from our supporters over the past few weeks has been nothing short of exceptional. The enthusiasm, positivity and encouragement we have experienced from fans in and around Fife Ice Arena has been genuinely inspiring, and everyone at the club is incredibly grateful for that support.
We are significantly ahead of last season during the same sales period and on course to hit our record season ticket sales in the EIHL. This offers us the very best possible chance of success on the ice.
Behind the scenes, Tim Wallace has been working relentlessly to assemble a team that our supporters can be proud of. Every recruitment decision has been made following extensive research and careful evaluation. We have been unwavering in our approach from day one: we want players who genuinely want to represent the Fife Flyers and who embrace the responsibility that comes with wearing our jersey. We are confident that every player entering our dressing room shares our ambition, understands our vision and is committed to the standards we are setting.
Our vision extends far beyond assembling a competitive hockey team. We are building a culture that reflects the community we represent. Kirkcaldy and the Kingdom of Fife are built on honesty, resilience, hard work and pride, and those are the values that will define this organisation both on and off the ice. We want every supporter to recognise those qualities in the way our team competes and in the way our club conducts itself.
On behalf of everyone at the Fife Flyers, we would like to thank every supporter for the incredible backing you have shown throughout the summer. We have always understood what this club means to its supporters and to the wider community, and I do not take the responsibility of leading it for granted. We are committed to building a sustainable, ambitious and professionally run organisation that our supporters can believe in for many years to come.
We know there is still a great deal of hard work ahead, but we are embracing that challenge.
Together – with our supporters behind us – we are building something that everyone connected with the Fife Flyers can be proud of.
