Flyers Bolster Defence with Krenželok

Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are  delighted to announce the addition of 6’3” defenseman Daniel Krenželok.

Prior to the 23/24 season, Daniel, who turns 27 at the end of the month, had spent all of his professional career playing in his native Czechia. He came through the HC Vitkovice junior system before playing two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. At aged 19 he returned home to make his professional debut with Vitkovice in season 17/18. Daniel has played over 150 games in the Czechia top division, Extraliga, along with loan spells with various teams in the second tier of Czechia hockey. His move to Fife will reunite Daniel with Martin Latal with whom he played last season in Poland for Cracovia Krakow. His 24 points tally last season was second best on the team in scoring from the blueline.

On the addition of Daniel Krenželok, Coach Tom Coolen said “Daniel is a young but experienced professional. He has participated in the World U17, U18 and IIHF World Jr for the Czech National team along with 150+ games  in the Czech and Champions Hockey League.  He logged top minutes for Krakow in the PHL last season and has an offensive upside . He will certainly contribute to the Flyers defensive group.”

On signing for the Flyers Daniel added “I am really excited to join Fife Flyers. After talking with coach Tom, with what he told me and what he expects from me, I was pretty sure that I wanted to join the team. I think that it’s a good step for me in my career and I can’t wait to meet all the guys and start work together to have a good season and be successful and make our fans proud and happy every game.”
