Eriksson Crosses the Tay to Fife

The Fife Flyers are pleased to announce the signing of 30 year old Swedish forward Johan Eriksson.

Eriksson joins the Fife Flyers for his second season in the Elite Ice Hockey League after splitting the 22/23 season between the Guildford Flames and Dundee Stars registering 42 points in 56 games.

The 6 foot 1 inch right-shooting forward has spent most of his hockey career in his native Sweden racking up 204 games with 107 points in HockeyAllsvenskan and 143 games totalling 150 points in HockeyEttan. Eriksson has also iced in the EBEL, seeing out the 18/19 season with Villacher SV and icing in France’s top tier with Chamonix during the 19/20 season where he registered 18 points in 22 games.

On the signing of Johan Eriksson, Coach Tom Coolen commented “ Johan is a proven scorer. He is big and strong and looking to improve his offensive totals from last year. He has been working hard all summer and is ready to go.”

On signing for Fife Flyers, Eriksson said “I’m really happy to be part of the team and super excited to get started in just a couple of weeks! I think we’ll have a great season.”
