'Rock solid' Emmerdahl makes his return to Fife Ice Arena

Solid D-man Jonas Emmerdahl has signed a new contract with the Fife Flyers which will see him ice for the club during the 2022/23 season.

The 30-year-old Swede joined the Kirkcaldy side in 2019 after spending several years in his home nation.

Last season Emmerdahl was part of the club's leadership team, where he was named assistant captain.

During his time at the Flyers, Emmerdahl has made 100 appearances, contributing 27 points along the way.

Commenting on his return, Emmerdahl said:

"I am super excited to have signed a new contract with the Flyers. The organization is making some big improvements and I am thrilled to be a part of that plan.

"I have been living in Fife for a couple of years now and I love the people, I love the area and it just feels great to come back for another season.

"Can't wait to play in front of the Flyers fans in a packed Auld Barn again!

"I'm going do everything I can to make this season a successful one."

Also adding, Associate Coach Jeff Hutchins said:

"Jonas has been rock solid in his last 2 seasons in Fife and it was a top priority to have him in a Flyers Jersey once again.

"A quiet man who leads by example, Jonas is a presence on and off of the ice.

"I look forward to working with Emmer this upcoming season."
