Chaumont returns for 3rd campaign with Fife

Fife Flyers IHC are delighted to confirm that fan favourite Bobby Chaumont will be back with the Flyers for the 2014/15 Season.

The 6’0ft Canadian from Sudbury Ontario joined the Flyers midway through season 2012/13, after being released by EIHL rivals Braehead Clan. Their loss was the Flyers gain as Chaumont went on to rack up 64pts in just 37 games! The following season Chaumont was awarded the Assistant Captain badge and played in 59 games and ended the season with 32 goals and 33 assists for a total of 65pts and 56 PIMs.

Chaumont will wear the #21 jersey once again this season.

Bobby has a wealth of experience playing in the CHL and EIHL and is excited about the season ahead “I am delighted to be returning once again to the Flyers. It's been great to see so many guys signing back and I'm looking forward to having another great year with a great group of guys.”

“I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off last season!”

Flyers Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added “Bobby has consistently put up numbers on the board for us since he joined us a year and a half ago. He is a natural leader who solidifies the dressing room effortlessly. He is well liked by all of his team mates and can always be relied upon to show up in big games.”

“Expectations on Bobby will always be extremely high by the loyal Fife support but he has the ability and talent to help the Flyers compete and win consistently in the EIHL.”

Associate Coach Danny Stewart added “It's good to get Bobby back on board for another season. His production up front has been a huge asset for our club and is something that should never be overlooked. 32 goals last season and 21 the year before (in only 37 games) makes us a more potent offence.”

“He will be looked upon to be one of our leaders once again in what is turning out to be a strong returning core from last season. Down the stretch last year he played some of his best hockey for us on both ends of the puck and scored some big goals for us at crucial times.”
