Jonas Emmerdahl

Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Calrk Mercedes Benz, have today completed their roster for the 2019/20 Elite Ice Hockey League season with the signing of 27 year old Swedish defenceman Jonas Emmerdahl.

Emmerdahl, from Stockholm, Sweden, has played his entire professional career in the Sweden Allsvenskan, making his debut for VIK Västerås HK back in 2009/10.

Emmerdahl played 5 further season with VIK Västerås HK before making the switch to IF Björklöven for the 2015/16 season.

Over the course of his career, Emmerdahl has iced in 377 Allsvenskan games and tallied 15 goals and 62 assists.

Speaking about joining the Flyers and the Elite Ice Hockey League, Jonas said the following. "I am really looking forward to moving to Scotland. It’s a new and exciting experience for me. I going to do my best to make the season successful."

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added "Jonas completes our line up and solidifies the defence we will have playing in front of Adam this season.

"He moves well for a big man and adds to the size we have put in place this season. One of our latest ever signings but I'm sure people will feel it was worth the wait and help me welcome Jonas to Fife."

Jonas will wear the number 44 this season.

Elite Ice Hockey League

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) is a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom formed in 2003. The league currently consists of 10 teams, with Belfast (NIR), Cardiff (WAL), Coventry (ENG), Dundee (SCO), Fife (SCO), Glasgow (SCO), Guildford (ENG), Manchester (ENG), Nottingham (ENG) and Sheffield (ENG).
