Adam Morrison

Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes Benz, can today confirm the signing of their starting netminder for the 2019/20 Elite Ice Hockey League season.

28 year old Canadian netminder Adam Morrison will take over the starting netminder duties following Shane Owen’s move to the Belfast Giants this summer.

A 2009 3rd round NHL draft pick by the Philadelphia Flyers, Morrison joins Fife with a wealth of ECHL experience. During the 2012/13 season Morrison and Owen both iced for the Utah Grizzlies.

A 7 year pro, Morrison has over 150 ECHL games under his belt, as well as several call-ups to the AHL with Providence Bruins, Hershey Bears and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Speaking about his first season in Europe and joining the Flyers, Morrison said “I am really pleased and excited to be joining the Flyers for the upcoming season, and to be joining the long line of very successful goaltenders.

“I am looking forward to getting to work and competing for a championship, and joining an organisation with as much history as the Fife Flyers.”

Head coach Todd Dutiaume added “Adam is focussed and driven to bring success to the Flyers and show Flyers fans what they’ve come to expect – exceptional goaltending.

“We are thrilled to be working with Adam this upcoming year.”

Adam Morrison will wear number 1 this season.
