James Isaacs

Fife Flyers, are delighted to confirm the return of Canadian James Isaacs for his 4th season with the Kirkcaldy club.

James originally joined the Flyers back in 2016 and has been a valued member of the team since the 2016/17 season. Isaacs is a 2 time Gardiner Conference champion having won the conference under Jeff Hutchins in Dundee during the 2013/14 season, and again with Fife in 2017/18

Originally from Victoria, BC, James has been playing in the EIHL since 2014, having played for both the Dundee Stars and Coventry Blaze before signing for the Flyers.

Isaacs brings versatility to the team as he can play both forward and defence making him a very valued team member.

'Rhino' had the following to say on re-signing for the club “Every time I step into the FIA it feels like a second home for me. When the fans come out and are loud, proud, and engaged, it is by far the most intimidating building to play in and gives us a great home ice advantage.

"There’s a great group of guys coming back and I’m sure the coaches will recruit excellent additions to that core, which will hopefully enable us to win some silverware this season.

"The club has gone out of their way to take care of my needs on and off the ice, which is why it was an easy decision to come back for a 4th year."

Assistant coach Jeff Hutchins had the following to say “James has been steady defensively for us during the last three seasons. He has the ability to move to forward if required.

"James is well liked by his teammates and is active in the community.

"We are excited to have him back for another season.”
