Todd DutiaumeJeff Hutchins

Fife Flyers are delighted to confirm that Head Coach Todd Dutiaume will be back at the helm for the 2019/20 EIHL season, alongside him will be assistant coach & Director of Player Development Jeff Hutchins, who is back for a 4th Season with the Kirkcaldy based club.

The Flyers celebrated their 80th anniversary during the 2018/19 season and finished the EIHL regular season in 6th position (66pts), just 1 point behind 4th & 5th placed Glasgow Clan & Guildford Flames (67pts), and bowed out of the EIHL Playoffs at the ¼ final stage, against Nottingham Panthers.

Looking ahead to the 2019/20 season, Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said “I am excited to be back with the organisation that I’ve called home for 20 years.”

“The last 8 years in the Elite League have seen this team continuously move in a positive direction, and we look again to push forward next season.”

“After speaking with all of our players, we have a good number of key guys to form the foundations of a successful squad.”

“As coaches we will strive to put the necessary pieces in place to ensure that we ice a team that our community wants to support every week, and challenge for the successes we all want to see this club achieve”.

Hutchins added “I want to thank the directors and Todd for placing faith in me and extending my contract for a 4th season. I am happy to be returning to a hockey town that has such a strong and passionate fan base.”

“Todd and I have built a strong personal and working relationship over the last three successive seasons and we have had success over the last couple of years by building exciting teams. I look forward to getting stuck in this summer and building around a strong core of individuals, and hopefully this year we can continue to improve and take the next step up the ladder.”

Both coaches have enjoyed some down time following the end of the 2018/19 season but have recently been busy working away in the background, putting in place the key foundations for the 2019/20 season.

The club will announce some player signing news later this week and will also be releasing the 2019/20 Season Ticket prices & packages towards the end of the week.
