Specsavers Road SafetyYoungsters at the Fife Flyers game at home last weekend left with free high visibility vests thanks to team Great 8 sponsor Specsavers.

Representatives from Specsavers Dunfermline gifted reflective vests to fans during the Nottingham Panthers game on Saturday 20 October.

The donation was made by Specsavers as part of its pledge to help children stay safe and be more visible to drivers when out in busy streets and public areas. It’s a way for Specsavers to give back to the community and spread the road safety message.

Andrew Hepburn, store director at Specsavers Dunfermline, says: "It was great to cheer on the Flyers but also give fans a free vest that will help them be seen during dark nights and mornings.

"We were so busy that we ran out of vests but anyone who missed out can pop into their local Specsavers to receive one before they’re all gone."

High visibility vests are currently available from Specsavers at Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes, 68 High Street, Leven and 131 High Street, Dunfermline.

Specsavers stores in Glenrothes, Leven and Dunfermline are part of Fife Flyers Great 8 sponsors this season alongside Fife home visits. This is the third consecutive year the Glenrothes and Leven stores have supported the Flyers and 2018 sees the additional backing from Specsavers in Dunfermline.
