Rick Pinkston

Fife Flyers are delighted to confirm the signing of 27-year-old American defenceman Rick Pinkston for the 2018/19 Elite Ice Hockey League season.

Last season Pinkston signed a one year AHL contract with Milwaukee Admirals and split the 2017/18 season in the AHL, and ECHL with Norfolk Admirals and Atlanta Gladiators

The 6’1" American spent his collegiate years at Dartmouth College, playing alongside last season's Gardiner Conference hero Charlie Mosey. Pinkston has iced in 35 AHL, and 150 ECHL games recording 6 goals and 36 assists

The 27 year old was part of the dominant 2015/16 Allen American that sealed their 4th ECHL Kelly Cup playoff championship in 4 years.

Rick said the following upon signing for the club “I have heard nothing but good things about both the organization and fans in Fife.

"In seeing the success of last year's team and the players who have already signed on for the upcoming season, I am excited to get the season started."

Assistant Coach Jeff Hutchins added “Rick is a solid all round d-man. He is responsible in the d-zone and has the ability to jump up in the rush when required.

"All the references that have come back have been positive and we feel that we've brought in a good character guy in the room.

"He comes to us as someone who has won championships and we will be looking for him to bring that winning mentality and experience to Fife."
