The Flyers run of defeats on Sheffield ice was extended to 20 games.
The Flyers 30 shots was their most on the road against Sheffield in their last 10 visits to West Yorkshire.

The Steelers are still without a goal scored at home in the opening 10 minutes of their matches so far this season.
Congratulations to Simon Despres who made his debut and became the 23rd player to do so for the Flyers this season – the second most debutants in a season – after last term – during the Flyers EIHL era.
The Flyers winless streak was extended to 15 games which became their longest ever without a victory in all EIHL competitions.

Fife Flyers 2 Cardiff Devils 8 – Elite League
The Flyers winless streak extended to 16 games which is their longest ever during their time in the EIHL.
The Devils made it 7 straight wins against the Flyers which equals their best ever sequence against Fife in all EIHL competitions.
It was also the Devils 6th consecutive win on the road against the Flyers in all EIHL competitions which ties their best sequence at Fife Ice Arena.
The Devils have now scored 8 goals against the Flyers three times in all EIHL competitions which is their highest tally against Fife.
When losing the 2nd period the Flyers are 0 and 13 on the season.
The 5 goals conceded in the third period equals the most given up by Flyers in a period this season.
The Flyers have now iced 29 different players so far this season which is second most in their time in the EIHL.
The Devils final goal was the 100th conceded by the Flyers in all EIHL competitions this season.
