The Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club can confirm the departure of Norwegian forward Didrik Svendsen with immediate effect.

The 30-year-old advised the club yesterday that he intended to head home to his native Norway after only 3 months in Scotland.

Didrik has indicated to the club an accumulation of struggling to adjust to the lifestyle in the UK, adjust to the playing style of the league and the fixture schedule were all major factors in his decision.

During his time with the Flyers, Didrik played 17 competitive games, scoring 1 goal and assisting on 3 others.

Everyone at the Flyers would like to thank Didrik for all his efforts during his time in Kirkcaldy and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
