Last weekend we strung together two very solid efforts taking three out of four points. Saturday at home was a closer game than the 5-1 score would indicate as we scored two late goals. It was great to see us close out a game while Playing with the lead.

Sunday’s game saw a lot of momentum shifts and we had some terrific looks in OT. Shane was outstanding in net and stopped an early penalty shot on the road. Josh Winquist continues his hot start and I was excited to see Johan Porsberger break out with four goals on the weekend.

With Belfast coming in this Saturday we need to play a solid systematic game and come out with ramped up physical play. Belfast is a talented team so we have to eliminate time and space.

On Sunday, we open league play at Manchester. It’s a very small rink and we have a big team. We expect the return of Didrik Svendsen to give us a jolt with his physical play.
