FIFE ICE ARENA COVID PROTOCOLS

The following rules and protocols are in place to ensure that hockey in Fife is a safe environment for everyone. We ask that spectators respect those around them and follow the rules in place.

 

We hope to be able to remove these measures as time goes on, but we ask that you follow them for now to ensure the safety of everyone at Fife Ice Arena.

 

If the guidance is not followed you may be asked to leave the arena.

 

 - Do not under any circumstances attend Fife Ice Arena if you are showing symptoms of having COVID-19

 

 - If you are showing symptoms or been identified as a close contact and been advised to go for a go for a PCR test you cannot attend Fife Ice Arena until you have received a negative test result from NHS Test and Protect.

 

 - If you do receive a positive test, do not attend Fife Ice Arena.

 

 - Do not attend Fife Ice Arena if you have been identified as a close contact of someone who has Covid 19 and/or are awaiting the results of a negative PCR test.

 

 - Do not attend Fife Ice Arena if you have visited a red list country in the previous 10 days.

 

 - Fife Ice Arena will be thoroughly cleaned before and after match nights – help us keep it that way by using the bins provided around the arena.

 

 - Face masks must be worn by all over 12s (unless you have an exemption) at all times - including when in your seat, unless eating or drinking.

 

 - Hand sanitizers will be placed at various points around the arena – please use them frequently.

 

 - Doors will open 1 hour before face off – although social distancing is not necessary by law please respect others space especially when queueing and standing at the café or the bars.

 

 - No standing will be allowed around walkways – standing is permitted in the designated areas (back of sections A-C and G-H) only.

 

 - There will be no match night mascots, puck drops, presentations or Man of the Match presentations.

 

 - Players will not be meeting with fans after matches in the arena bars or for photographs and/or autographs.

 

 - Chuck-a-puck and other period break entertainment will not take place.

 

 - 50/50 tickets & programmes will be sold by masked sellers around the arena

 

 - Shirt Off the Back raffles will start a few weeks into the season, but there will be no presentation on the ice. The lucky winner will have their top laundered and available to pick up from the rink the weekend after.

 

 - The Flyers shop will be open but will be staffed from behind screens with items being passed under the screen.

 

 

ELITE ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) is a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom formed in 2003. The league currently consists of 10 teams;  Belfast (NIR), Cardiff (WAL), Coventry (ENG), Dundee (SCO), Fife (SCO), Glasgow (SCO), Guildford (ENG), Manchester (ENG), Nottingham (ENG) and Sheffield (ENG).

ABOUT THE FLYERS

The Fife Flyers, established in 1938, are the oldest professional ice hockey team in the United Kingdom. The team has a history of success through the ages, with over 60 Scottish and British cups and titles to their name.
