Fife Flyers 3 Dundee Stars 2 Overtime – Elite League
The Flyers ended their 7 game losing streak.
It was the first time in 6 seasons that the Flyers have not lost on home ice to the Stars in the regular season.
Josh Winquist played 30:30 which is a season high time on ice for a Flyers forward this season.
It was the 8th time in all EIHL competitions that the Flyers have won a game in overtime with a powerplay goal.
The Flyers ended their season high streak of conceding a powerplay goal at 6 games.
It was only the 2nd time that the Flyers have won a game in all EIHL competitions with all the goals coming from homegrown players – the previous being a 1-0 win over the Giants in November 2015 with Stephen Gunn’s goal standing up as the game winner.
It was Logan Neilson’s 3rd game winning goal of the season which leads all players.
The Flyers average home attendance for all games this season was 1754 which is the highest since the 2017/18 season.
Congratulations to Keaton Jameson who became the 47th different recipient of the Mirror of Merit Award over its 63 seasons of being voted on.

Dundee Stars 1 Fife Flyers 2 Overtime – Elite League
The Flyers skated for 83:30 over the two games between Stars goals which was their longest spell this season without conceding.
The Flyers regular season record against the Stars this season was 4-1-1 with them outscoring the Tayside team 21-18 across the 6 games.
In all EIHL competitions this season the Flyers went 6-1-3 against the Stars and outscored them 36-27.
The Flyers posted their second best regular season points record against the Stars during the EIHL era.
Ian Scheid’s goal was the Flyers 1100th road goal in all EIHL competitions.
Congratulations to Cameron Wilkie who made his Flyers debut.
The Flyers gave 29 players debuts this season which equals a season high from last season and they iced 36 different players which is a new high for an EIHL season.
Against the Stars the Flyers are now 4 and 7 all time in the EIHL era in overtime games.
Flyers are now 4 and 3 in overtime games this season and 38 and 39 all time in all EIHL competitions in bonus hockey.
The Flyers had 5 ironmen who were ever presents this term, Ethan Hadden, Ryan Nicholson, Ian Scheid, Andrew McLewan and Ben Brown. I was the first time in 3 seasons that the Flyers had anyone play in all matches.
Garet Hunt registered his 100th shot of the season and became the 7th player to have triple digits in shots on goal.
