Over the past several days, the Fife Flyers ownership group has conducted a comprehensive review of the club’s operations, finances, and overall direction, both on and off the ice. Our first priority is to provide clarity and reassurance to our supporters. Short-term funding has been secured to stabilize the club and ensure that immediate obligations are met. At the same time, necessary corrective steps will be taken to place the organisation on firmer and more responsible footing.
A newly formed management group has now assumed leadership and injected fresh capital into the club. This group is firmly committed to addressing the consequences of decisions made during the recent transitional period that did not align with sustainable governance or prudent financial management. Certain commitments were undertaken without sufficient regard for long-term viability, and the impact of those choices has been felt across the organisation and within our community. Those individuals are no longer involved. The present leadership’s focus is clear: restore stability, strengthen oversight, and rebuild trust through disciplined and accountable stewardship.
Sustainability is not simply an objective. It is the foundation of our path forward. Operating beyond our means is neither realistic nor fair to our supporters, partners, or players. Every decision moving ahead will be guided by financial discipline, transparency, and a long-term commitment to the health of the club.
To our players and coaching staff;
We recognise the uncertainty this period has created and the professionalism you have shown throughout it. You represent this club every day through your work ethic and commitment, and you deserve a stable and well-managed organisation behind you. We are committed to providing that foundation so you can focus fully on performance and pride in the jersey.
To our suppliers and business partners;
We acknowledge the strain that recent instability may have caused. Your services and support are essential to the operation of this club and rebuilding dependable and transparent relationships with you is a priority. We intend to engage openly and responsibly as we move forward.
With renewed leadership under COO Stephen Thompson and a strengthened operational structure, we believe the right team is now in place to guide the Fife Flyers into a more stable and competitive future.
We are deeply grateful to our fans and sponsors for their loyalty and patience during this period of transition. Your support has sustained this club through difficult moments, and it will be central to its renewal.
This is your Kingdom.
Our responsibility now is to ensure that the Fife Flyers represent not only passion and pride on the ice, but integrity and sustainability off it, worthy of the people of Fife and the generations who stand behind this badge.
