Glasgow Clan 5 Fife Flyers 1 – Challenge Cup
The Flyers have now lost on their last 7 visits to the Clan which ties their longest ever winless streak on Clan ice.
It was also the Clan’s 6th consecutive victory in the Challenge Cup against the Flyers.
The goal by Rylan Schwartz was the 200th conceded to the Clan following their rebranding from Braehead to Glasgow.
4 Clan shots in 3rd period is the fewest given up in a period by Flyers this season.
Congratulations to Ethan Hadden who scored his first point for the Flyers and his first in the EIHL.
Also congratulations to two debutants, Giordano Finoro and Ben Keddie who played their first games for the Flyers and Ben’s first in professional hockey.
They became the 20th and 21st players respectively to debut this season for the Flyers
The Flyers now have 227 players to have recorded time on ice in the EIHL era.
4th consecutive game that the Flyers have been a positive at the face off dot.
The Clan are now 0 for 21 at home on the powerplay this season.

Fife Flyers 1 Coventry Blaze 4 – Elite League
Coventry Blaze extended their best ever winning sequence against the Flyers in all EIHL competitions to 7 games whilst they have now also equalled their best unbeaten run on Fife ice during that time at 4 games.
Congratulations to Giordano Finoro for scoring his first goal for the Flyers and he became the 40th player in all EIHL competition to score shorthanded for the club.
It was the Flyers 72nd shorty in the EIHL era and their 4th against the Coventry Blaze.
The Flyers were on the penalty kill 8 times in the game which is the most since they killed 8 of 8 against the Belfast Giants on 30th September 2023.
The Flyers last 8 goals against the Blaze have all come from different scorers and over that 5 game span the Blaze have had 13 different goal scorers.
The Flyers are now 0 and 6 to start their league campaign which equals their last longest winless streak to start a season in 2013-14 – albeit there were two losses beyond regulation in that sequence. The longest winless start to an EIHL season was the Flyers inaugural campaign when they didn’t get their first W until game 15.
It was the Flyers most dominant game at the face off dot as they were a plus 20.
