GAME DAY: What’s On at Fife Ice Arena – Wednesday 22nd October 2025

Welcome to the ultimate guide of what you can expect to see in the Auld Barn for this midweek Challenge Cup tie with Dundee Stars.

Naturally, there’s plenty to keep you interested on the ice, but there’s lots more to look out for around the rink ahead of another big night of action.

Let’s see what’s going on.

TICKET INFO

Before we go on, we’d love to have you here so if you’re on the fence about coming, don’t be.  Tickets remain available now and can be bought either online or by visiting the Fife Ice Arena box office, open an hour from face off.

Face off is at 7:30pm.

DUNDEE STARS ARE HERE

The Challenge Cup group stage is starting to wind down and there’s still a chance for Flyers to barge their way into the knockout phase party (see standings below)

Standing in their way tonight is Dundee Stars, against whom Flyers have taken five points out of six so far.

We all know Marc LeFebvre loves coming to the Kingdom so let’s make him feel really welcome in true Fife style.

THE STATE OF PLAY

There is still hockey left to play in the Challenge Cup group and this is how things stand going into this game.  A win for Fife will see them go above Glasgow Clan before they play each other this Friday

JERSEYS TONIGHT

Tonight, it’s the yellow Challenge Cup jerseys that will be worn by the Flyers players

PUCK DROP

We’re delighted to welcome Stephen Barbour from our friends at Kingdom Nutrition, who will perform the ceremonial puck drop prior to face off.

Kingdom Nutrition are Fife Flyers’ official nutrition and supplement suppliers and you can check them out by reading about them on our article on the Fife Flyers website or taking a look at their Facebook page.

PRIZE CENTRAL

  • Shirt off the Back – You could leave Fife Ice Arena as a winner if you play Shirt off the Back where you could be the lucky winner of a #95 Didrik Svendsen pre-season jersey and receive the jersey from the man himself after the game.
  • Chuck a Puck – You know the drill. Purchase your pucks, wait until the second period break then chuck them at Geordie Munro, standing in centre ice.  The closest puck to Geordie wins our amazing prize

Tickets for both games cost £1 a go.

FIRST PERIOD BREAK ENTERTAINMENT

Get ready for another Kids Kit Race during the first break when we’ll see which of our contestants are quickest to put on full hockey kit.

It could go one of two ways, but it will be a lot of fun.

MERCHANDISE

Make sure you make the most of your trip to the Auld Barn with a trip to the merchandise stall and pick up a souvenir or two.

Hoodies, keyrings – we’ve got plenty to choose from so come along and browse what we have and hopefully there will be something that takes your fancy.

There are jerseys in stock and on sale tonight as well.  Check this article for further information.

WEBCAST

Can’t make the game tonight?  We have you covered with the Flyers TV webcast, coming to you live from Fife Ice Arena.

With commentary from Laura Duff and Allan ‘Bean’ Anderson, don’t miss a thing as we bring you the action live and unless you have a ticket, it’s the only way to see the game.

Purchase it now from Fife Flyers TV
