Thank you – a message from Fife Flyers President and GM Max Birbraer

Now that the dust has settled and the first two games have finally been played, we wanted to say a huge thank you to our fan base as we were absolutely blown away by scale of support we’ve received online and at Fife Ice Arena on Sunday.

It was amazing to see this brand new team evolve and improve period by period and it couldn’t have happened without that famous Auld Barn atmosphere which was certainly back.

We also wanted to recognise that not everything is perfect yet and there are still a mountain of things which could be improved.

In the coming weeks, we are hoping to look at better entrance processes and queueing for the game. We apologise to those who missed some game time on Sunday as a result of a large numbers of people trying to enter the building. Naturally, we tried to delay the face-off but unfortunately we were unable to due to referees schedule and logistics.

The Sound system has been improved which was also great to hear feedback on. However, there were some reports that in the third period some areas have deteriorated. Again, this will be looked at as soon as possible and hopefully fixed.

The lounge upstairs is going through structural/maintenance and a general improvement process at the moment and will be operational as soon as possible.

As always, we are here to listen and hopefully give our amazing supporters a competitive team on the ice and an improved game night experience.

We genuinely can not wait to see what this Sunday’s home opener will bring if last night’s game was anything to go by!
