Flyers join Alliance of European Hockey Clubs

The Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are pleased to announce our membership in the Alliance of European Hockey Clubs (EHC).

As the oldest ice hockey club in the United Kingdom, the Flyers inclusion in the EHC represents a new strategic focus as we not only look to spread our wings here in the UK, but the wider European hockey community.

The EHC brings together clubs from across Europe to collaborate on business development, marketing, sponsorship, youth development and cross-league cooperation.

Gareth Chalmers, Chief Operating Officer of the Fife Flyers commented: “Following the takeover of the Flyers by a new ownership consortium, we are excited to be joining as new members of the EHC Alliance which aligns with our strategic plans and ambitions for the club heading into the new era.

“It’s not only important to have a presence in the United Kingdom, but also the wider European hockey community.”

Caroline Jonsson, Managing Director of the EHC Alliance commented: “With every new addition, the alliance grows stronger, and I am extremely pleased and proud to see an historic club like the Fife Flyers join the EHC Alliance as the seventh UK member.

“It’s especially fitting that our next Hockey Business Forum will be held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in October.”
