Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce the return of forward Aiden Wilson for the 2025/26 season.
Aiden first arrived in the Kingdom in October 2024 splitting his time with National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) side Romford Raiders. He went on to make 14 appearances before his season was cut short due to an off ice injury.
After beginning his hockey journey in Kilmarnock, Aiden headed stateside to join the Utica Junior Comets during the pandemic stricken season of 2020/21.
2021/22 saw Aiden resume playing in Sweden icing with Sollefteå HK J18. The following season he went on to ice in 16 games for the same team registering 25 points (15 goal + 10 assists) before making 4 appearances for the senior team, Sollefteå HK, in the Swedish 2nd Division. On his return to the UK, Aiden had a brief stop in the Scottish National League (SNL) with the North Ayrshire Wild before seeing out the remainder of the 2022/23 season in the NIHL with the Telford Tigers.
Since then Aiden has iced for Nybro Vikings IF J20 (Sweden J20 Div.1), Telford Tigers (NIHL), Romford Buccaneers (NIHL1) and Romford Raiders (NIHL).
Aiden has also represented both Scotland and Great Britain at various age levels. Most recently he was selected for the GB U18 World Championships D2A squad that brought home bronze from Serbia in 2023.
On returning to Fife Aiden said: “I’m buzzing to be back playing for the Flyers this season.
“I can’t wait to see what the new era brings.
“The support from the fans last season was incredible during those tough times.”
On securing the signing of Aiden, Flyers President and GM Max Birbraer added: “Aiden is an excellent skater with quickness in his step.
“He’s a young man who has a very strong compete level which he applies every shift of every game. This illustrates his hunger to be better.
“These are qualities that will help us as we look to make Fife a tough place to come and play.”
As the team takes shape, Aiden is the 13th player to sign up for the 2025/26 season. For the upcoming season Aiden will wear #22.
