Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are pleased to announce the signing of Czech forward Vlastimil Dostálek. 

Vlastimil joins the Flyers following a season with KHL Sisak in the Alps Hockey League (Croatia) where he finished the season with 92 points (45 goals + 47 assists) in 59 games across all competitions.  

The 2023/24 season saw Vlastimil split his year between Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in the Hungarian Erste Liga and KH Zaglebie Sosnowiec in the Polska Hokej Liga. 

Prior to this, Vlastimil plied his trade in his native Czechia lifting the Czechia2 Championship in the 2016/17 season with HC Motor České Budějovice. Another proven leader on the ice Vlastimil had also been part of the leadership team in seasons past. 

On his move to the Kingdom Vlastimil said: “I’m so excited to be part of the Fife Flyers. 

“I can’t wait to join the team and play in front of the Fife fans “

Coach Russell added: “Vlastimil is a big man that wins battles and protects the puck extremely well. 

“He has the gift of goal scoring and is a very versatile player on the PP. He will go to the tough area to score”.

Flyers President and GM Max Birbraer also added: “I’m really pleased to have Vlastimil on board. 

“As we build our top 6 forward line, he brings experience, size and offensive play both 5 on 5 and on the power play. 

“He’s a versatile player who will be used in many situations for us.”

Vlastimil is the 9th member of our new look squad and will wear #15 for the 2025/26 season.
