An overtime defeat by the odd goal in nine at Braehead was followed up the next night with a five goal shutout win at home to the Dundee Stars. Another road overtime defeat in Coventry was followed by a 5-2 home loss to the Belfast Giants. The following weekend a heavy 7-4 defeat in Nottingham preceded an excellent 6-2 win at the Spectrum against the Sheffield Steelers. A midweek win at the Skydome with another 6 goals scored came before consecutive 4-3 losses beyond regulation at Dundee and Belfast. The losses continued with a 3-1 reversal on home ice against the Cardiff Devils followed by a 4-2 defeat by the Clan in Glasgow. The winless streak, their longest of the season, was stretched to five games with the Steelers victorious at the Spectrum before the rot was halted in Nottingham with a 4-2 win. The following weekend the Flames scooped maximum points with a 6-2 win on Tayside followed by a 3-2 shootout success against the Steelers in Surrey. Last weekend they hosted Manchester and allowed their visitors to come from two goals down late in the game before losing out in a shootout. The next night they went to Coventry and were three goals behind before mounting a comeback that fell short in a 3-2 defeat.

The Blaze followed up their win at the Skydome with a pair of victories when they beat the Devils 5-3 in Wales and returned home the following night to overcome the Sheffield Steelers 3-2 in overtime. Back to back games the following weekend against the Nottingham Panthers saw the Blaze go down 6-2 at the Motorpoint Arena and 6-4 at the Skydome. A multi goal come from behind 4-3 shootout win in Glasgow preceded a 4-2 loss on home ice to the Dundee Stars. Last weekend the Blaze travelled to play the Steelers and handed Sheffield their biggest defeat of the season with an impressive 6-0 win before they then returned home to host the Guildford Flames who almost came back from being three down but the Blaze hung on for a 3-2 win. Ahead of their trip to Kirkcaldy the Blaze host the Cardiff Devils the night before.
