Glasgow Clan 5 Fife Flyers 2 – Challenge Cup
The Flyers have now lost their last 4 games against the Clan.
The Flyers were awarded their first penalty shot of the season and the miss means they are now 7 for 16 (43.75 percent) in all EIHL competitions, they are 4 for 6 on the road.
Opponents have a 75 percent success rate from penalty shots with 8 for 12 against the Flyers.
The last time the Flyers were not called for any penalty minutes in a game was last April when consecutive playoff games against the Steelers saw both teams go penalty free in both games.

Congratulations to Ben Brown who made his Flyers debut and he is the 20th player this season to do so. He becomes the 198th player to play at least 1 game for the Flyers in the EIHL.
Flyers scored two power play goals which ties for their most in a game this season.
It was the third consecutive game that Flyers have scored on the power play which is their best sequence so far this season.
It was the Flyers first empty net goal of the season – the Flyers were the only team on the season without an empty netter.
The Flyers last empty net goal was scored by Kyle Osterberg against Coventry on 1st October 2023 – the only empty netter for the Flyers last season.
The last time the Flyers scored five goals against Sheffield was 20 games ago on 2nd March 2022 in what was also a 5-3 win.
The highest goals tally for the Flyers against Sheffield in all EIHL competitions is 6 when they won 6-3 on 26th Feb 2017.
The Flyers game winning goals have so far all come from different scorers.
There were 77 face offs in the game, the most so far this season and the Flyers were a plus 3 on draws, only the 5th time they have not been a negative in games this season.
