Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club are delighted to announce the addition of Brodie Kay for the 2024/25 season.
Brodie, who celebrates his 18th birthday next month, returns following his rookie season last campaign
where he split his time between the Flyers, Kirkcaldy Kestrels and the Fife Falcons. For the U19 Falcons
he returned 13 goals and 10 assists in 16 games and was third on team scoring. In the Scottish National
League regular season he had 4 goals and 9 assists with a further goal and 2 assists in 2 Playoff and 2
Scottish Cup games. He also registered 2 assists in 3 Northern League games for the Kestrels.
Brodie capped his season with a fine showing for the GB U18’s at the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World
Championship Division II Group A. GB won the silver medal with Brodie scoring 2 goals including the
game winner against Croatia as well as hitting the net against the Netherlands to finish the tournament
with 5 points. Brodie will again this season be on a 2-way contract.
On signing Brodie Coach Tom Coolen commented “I am pleased in regards to the return of Brodie Kay.
He is a local lad with much potential. I envision a more active role for Brodie this coming season and it will
certainly assist in his development as a player.”
On suiting up for the Flyers Brodie added “I’m grateful for the opportunity to return and develop under the
guidance of Tom Coolen and the Fife Flyers organisation. I am excited about this upcoming season, I
think it’s going to be a great one .Thank you Flyers fans for your support on my journey. I hope when the
time is right I can do you all proud.”
