Brendan Brooks opens the scoring vs Cardiff Devils

With only a 1 game weekend for the FiFab Fife Flyers, Todd Dutiaume's men came up against Cardiff Devils who were playing their 3rd and final game of a Scottish trip header at Fife Ice Arena.

Flyers were without the injured Shayne Stockton but did have James Isaacs in the line-up for the game against Cardiff.

It was Flyers who started the better of the two sides and created a number of early scoring opportunities but were unable to find a way through Ben Bowns in the Cardiff net.

Brendan Brooks did open the scoring at the half way point of the opening period after a pass from Carlo Finucci found Brooks in front of the Devils net before Brooks fired a quick shot beyond Bowns in the Devils net.

A scoreless 2nd period set up a tight final period but it was Flyers who scored the next goal and increase their lead. A superb shot from the left by Chase Schaber saw him find the top corner of Bowns' net to make it 2-0 at 44:48.

Carlo Finucci put the game out of Cardiff's reach when he tipped in a shot in front of Bowns at 56:28 to make it 3-0. With 56:43 played, Cardiff netminder Bowns went to the bench but it was to no avail. Justin Fox picked up the puck and slotted Fife's 4th goal of the game and wrap up a 4-0 win.
