Fife Flyers vs Sheffield Steelers

The FiFab Fife Flyers the defending Elite Ice Hockey League champions to Fife Ice Arena on Sunday night as Flyers hosted Sheffield Steeers.

Ric Jackman and David Turon were back in the line-up for Flyers, however Justin Fox and Shayne Stockton did not ice. Sheffield created more of the opening chances in the first period and were eventually reward when John Armstrong was able to break the deadlock  to make it 1-0 to Sheffield at 11:03.

Armstrong doubled his tally soon after when he scored Sheffield's 2nd goal of the game at 16:11.

Into the 2nd period and Steelers scored their 3rd goal of the game after 20 seconds when Jesse Schultz. Steelers made it 4-0 at 23:07 this time when David Phillips scored a wonderful solo effort.

Matt Sisca got Flyers back in to the game when he converted on the powerplay at 31:27 to make the score line Fife 1 Sheffield 4.

Into the final period and Flyers were the more threatening team and got their 2nd goal of the game when Matt Sisca set up David Turon who fired the puck beyond Ervins Mustukovs in the Steelers net.

Despite their offensive threat Flyers were unable to find another way passed Mustukovs in the Steelers net.
