Andrew LittleCraig Douglas

Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, can confirm they have secured their netminding team with the signings of British netminding duo Andrew Little and Craig Douglas for the 2018/19 Elite Ice Hockey League season.

The British duo will share back-up duties to starting netminder Shane Owen who returns to the club following a season split between Eurpoe and North America.

Little, 20, returns the Flyers team having gained valuable experience training with the side last season and having been called into the team on a number of occasions towards the end of the 2017/18 season as back-up cover.

Douglas,28, is no stranger to Flyers fans having spent 2 seasons with the team in 2015/16 and 2016/17 where he was back-up to Shane Owen in his final season with the club.

Assistant coach Jeff Hutchins said "Both Craig and Andrew have been with us off and on for the last couple years.

"We value both of their commitments to the club and although they have full time jobs away from the rink, both are keen to be a part of the organisation.

"We will continue to work with them moving forward. Both will be on two ways with the Kestrels."

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) is a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom formed in 2003. The league currently consists of 11 teams, with Braehead (SCO), Belfast (NIR), Cardiff (WAL), Coventry (ENG), Dundee (SCO), Fife (SCO), Guildford (ENG), Manchester (ENG), Milton Keynes (ENG), Nottingham (ENG) and Sheffield (ENG).
