Chase Schaber returns for 3rd season

Fife Flyers are delighted to welcome back Canadian forward Chase Schaber for the 2018/19 season.

Schaber has been a member of the Flyers family since the 2016/17 season, making this his third straight season with the Kirkcaldy based club.

The 27 year old from Red Deer, Alberta is a firm fan favourite with the Flyers fans and scored 30 goals, with 31 assists in 2017/18, amassing 61pts from 55 games.

Schaber is delighted to be back with the club for their 80th anniversary year, and had the following to say on the signing news.

I have really enjoyed the past two seasons with the Flyers and it was great to be part of the Conference winning team last year.

It’s awesome to be back for a third season, and to be a part of the 80th anniversary season. We are looking to improve on where we left off last year and keep going in our hunt for silverware.

"The fans in Fife are a huge asset and their loyal support is something that really gets the team hyped up. I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice next month and playing in front of the fans.”

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added “Chase was a priority to have back. After a successful 30 goal season we feel he has even more to offer.

His strength on the puck as well as the ability to find the net in key situations makes him a very valuable asset on the ice.

He also has the ability to control the mood of our room and we'll be looking to him to continue to steer and guide this team on to further successes.”
